1 · What is the news?

Imagine a massive 25-kilometer wall of mud and trenches suddenly cutting your city in half. This is happening in Gaza right now. Israel is building giant “mud walls” to permanently slice the land into two parts, trapping displaced people in crowded camps.
For the people of Gaza, this destroys the hope of ever having their own unified country.

2 · How the Land is Being Divided

Step 1: The Temporary Map
A map line (the “Yellow Line”) was drawn during peace talks to temporarily separate military zones in Gaza.

Step 2: The Earth Movers
Instead of just drawing a line on a map, bulldozers are now piling up huge mounds of dirt to make this separation physical.

Step 3: The Empty Zone
Homes and farms near these new walls are completely flattened to create an empty, heavily guarded “no man’s land.”

Step 4: The Permanent Trap
Gaza is permanently sliced into pieces. This physical division makes a future, unified Palestinian state almost impossible.

India strongly supports a “Two-State Solution”—meaning an independent Palestine living peacefully next to Israel. Cutting Gaza in half threatens this core policy.
Geneva Convention
International Law
The Fourth Geneva Convention legally bans an occupying army from forcing civilians out of their homes. Erasing neighborhoods to build walls violates this law.
