India welcomed global policymakers, industry leaders and scientists for the 3rd International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2025) held on November 11-12 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

 The event emphasised the role of the National Green Hydrogen Mission in India’s clean-energy push and outlined the vision for India to capture 10% of global green-hydrogen demand by 2030.

Also the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has invited proposals worth ₹100 crore under the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) for biomass- and waste-based hydrogen pilot projects.

What is Green Hydrogen?

Green hydrogen is hydrogen fuel produced by electrolysis of water powered exclusively by renewable energy, resulting in negligible carbon emissions. It is crucial for decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors such as steel, refining, chemicals, aviation and shipping.
