- Cost: Around ₹4,997 crore
- Progress: 67.5 per cent completed (as of December 2025)
- Construction start: December 2020
- Target completion: September 2028

- Expected to boost trade, mobility and access to services in Assam and Meghalaya.
- Holds strategic importance by strengthening connectivity to international trade corridors involving Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
- Enhances India’s broader Act East and neighbourhood connectivity objectives.
Governance and monitoring
Inclusion under PAIMANA reflects the government’s push for data-driven infrastructure monitoring, focusing on time, cost and outcome efficiency.
Regular monitoring helps reduce delays in mega projects critical for the Northeast.
