In a major archaeological development, researchers have uncovered rare artefacts at Embrudisa village in Dima Hasao district of Assam.
- The excavation was led by Dr Shringdao Langthasa in collaboration with the District Museum, Haflong.
Key Discoveries
The excavation at a newly identified stone jar site revealed:
- Handmade and wheel-made pottery fragments
- Metal objects such as a dao (traditional blade) and arrowhead
- A probable spearhead
- Bangles, beads, and ornaments
- Charcoal remains and bone fragments
- A miniature metallic object shaped like a vessel, possibly of ritual significance
