The National Tribal Film Festival 2025 began in Imphal, Manipur, highlighting the creativity, identity and cultural richness of India’s tribal communities.

• The closing ceremony will coincide with Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada, commemorating Birsa Munda, honouring tribal freedom fighters as part of the government’s focus on tribal pride and empowerment.
• This aligns with initiatives like Tribal Research Institutes, TRIFED, Van Dhan Vikas Kendras, and increased national investments in tribal arts and culture.
