  • Nagen Bora was a celebrated Assamese lyricist, composer, writer, and former President of the Jorhat Zila Sahitya Sabha.
  • He penned more than 3,000 songs, making him one of the most prolific contributors to Assamese music and literature.
  • He worked closely with Dr Bhupen Hazarika, popularly known as Sudhakantha, and contributed significantly to the cultural renaissance of Assam.
  • He served as the former president of the Jorhat Zila Sahitya Sabha.
