- In a major step toward women’s economic empowerment and rural entrepreneurship, the Chief Minister distributed financial assistance to over 14,000 women beneficiaries under the ‘Udyamita Abhijan’ scheme during a public meeting at Tingrai, Tinsukia.
- Implemented by the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, the initiative aims to transform SHG members into self-reliant micro-entrepreneurs and align with the State’s vision of making every SHG woman a ‘Lakhpati Baideo’.
About the Udyamita Abhijan Scheme

- Third Year Support: ₹50,000 for successful beneficiaries meeting the required conditions.
- Expected Earnings: Women entrepreneurs can earn ₹25,000–₹50,000 annually from sustainable ventures.
- Beneficiaries: SHG women engaged in weaving, food processing, dairy, livestock rearing, organic farming, and handicrafts.
