Assam, in collaboration with the European Union (EU), has launched its first Blue Valley Innovation Cluster during the visit of a high-level EU delegation led by EU Ambassador to India Hervé Delphin.

What is the Blue Valley Innovation Cluster?

The Blue Valley Innovation Cluster is a new industrial ecosystem designed to promote innovation, research, value addition and sustainable manufacturing in sectors where Assam enjoys a natural advantage.

Operates Under

• It is being developed under the broader Blue Valleys Initiative announced during the EU–India Summit 2026.
• It follows a Public-Private-People Partnership (PPPP) model.
• It is supported by the Government of Assam and the European Union.
• Its nodal State Agency will be Assam Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (AIDC), Government of Assam.
• Core Focus Sectors are Tea, Fragrances, Flavours, AYUSH Products, Food Processing, Sustainable Manufacturing and Innovation.
