• At Kohima, the Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), inaugurated and launched development projects worth ₹646.39 crore, marking a major boost for infrastructure and public service delivery in Nagaland.

The Chendang Saddle–Noklak Road upgrading (₹45.59 crore) and the improvement of the AT Road stretch between Tsusangra and Impur Junction (₹93.98 crore) including bridges, have been completed under the North East Road Development programme.

In addition, foundation stones of major upcoming health projects were laid, including:

  • A multi-speciality hospital at Chümoukedima (₹58.72 crore), and
  • A 50-bed hospital at Peren district headquarters (₹44.65 crore).

During the public event at Tuophema, Scindia highlighted Nagaland’s growing strategic importance as a gateway to Southeast Asia, underlining the shift from the region being called the “last frontier” to becoming India’s first frontier in economic integration.
