The fifth biennial Son of the Soil Awards Assam 2025, organised by Care Luit, were presented in Tezpur, celebrating distinguished personalities and emerging talents contributing to Assam’s cultural, social, artistic and developmental landscape.

A Celebration Rooted in Assam’s Cultural Heritage

  • Speaking at Tezpur—home to Jyotiprasad Agarwala, Bishnu Prasad Rabha, and Phani Sarma—Sonowal highlighted how these icons laid the foundation of modern Assamese culture. 
  • He expressed confidence that Tezpur’s intellectual vibrancy will continue to inspire future generations.
