The Assam Chief Minister virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 10 development projects worth about ₹73 crore in Hailakandi district, aimed at improving education, administrative infrastructure, sports facilities, and rural connectivity.

• Hailakandi Government VMHS School will be developed as a Centre of Excellence.

4. Rural Connectivity and Bridge Projects

Several bridge construction projects were initiated to improve connectivity in rural areas.

Key projects include:

• Bridge connecting Bhavanipur and Saidpur villages.
• Bridge at Nachghar in Bagargul area.
• Bridge over the Dhaleshwari River linking Chandipur Part I and Chiparsangan Part III villages.
• Bridge over Katakhal River at Lalacherra on the Abdullahpur–Barnarpur road (₹14.10 crore).

These projects operate under broader rural connectivity efforts similar to the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, which aims to connect remote villages with all-weather roads.
