India is set to host the United Nations Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) Chiefs Conclave in New Delhi from October 14–16, 2025.
Delegations from 32 nations that contribute troops to UN peacekeeping operations will participate in the event, which will be hosted by the Indian Army.
The conclave aims to strengthen global peacekeeping collaboration, enhance interoperability, and promote India’s leadership in UN peace operations.

The UNTCC Chiefs Conclave serves as a vital platform for:

• Addressing operational challenges faced by UN missions.
  
• Sharing best practices and enhancing interoperability among participating nations.
  
• Discussing new and emerging threats, including cyber challenges and asymmetric warfare.
  
• Improving inclusivity in decision-making at the UN level.
  
• Exploring the role of technology and innovation in modern peacekeeping.
  

The conclave also reflects India’s long-standing ethos of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – the world is one family.

India and UN Peacekeeping

• India is one of the largest troop contributors to UN peacekeeping operations since 1948.
  • Nepal tops the list among uniformed contributors as of August 2024.
    
• Over 275,000 Indian personnel have served in over 50 UN missions across the world.
  
• Currently, around 6,000 Indian peacekeepers are deployed in missions in Lebanon, Congo, South Sudan, and Golan Heights.
  
• India has also been a strong advocate for greater representation of developing countries in peacekeeping command structures.
  
• The Centre for UN Peacekeeping (CUNPK) in New Delhi trains both Indian and foreign officers for UN missions.
